We are in!

First day in our new home. It all turned out just how we hoped it would feel and look.

This home will be very kind to us.

Kitchen Plan - sharing ideas with Seiko and Nathalie of the NVS

After Seiko and I had a general look at how to plan the kitchen, we sat down and drew a rough schedule. See link below.

After speaking with Warren he told me that the thickness of the plasterboard and finish would be 30mm of the overall space taken off.

That made it 6345mm for the length of the kitchen and 1385mm for the width of the area around the kitchen sink.


As we have decided to use handmadekitchens-direct, my NVS friend Nathalie Schofield who is an interior designer/architect has been so kind to spend time and energy to put our thoughts into  drawings to to scale before I present it to Kevin of the kitchen company.

We have decided to have our kitchen made by  Handmadekitchens-direct 01202 475515

Mark and I looked at the quality of these tulipwood kitchens as well as the price list and were pleasantly surprised. We have decided to pay a of £250  deposit to hold a delivery slot as well as the price.

We received the confirmation that the kitchen will be delivered on Monday 13th June.
Richard Renouf will be fitting it on the Thursday and Friday there after.

from Affordable Granites in Matlock 3cm

Towel pull out rail for in the 300mm base unit

 Sharon the Kitchen Paintress  will paint the base units in the colour Railings by Farrow and Ball
The wall units and the larder will be Wevet by  Little Greene
