With long west and east facing walls and lots of wonderful topsoil that we would otherwise remove, I liked the look of this garden to plant the grapevine, espalier trees along the fence.
Smaller plants can be in the bottom bed. Lots of wood, but could give structure this way.
To create a bed and step with rail way sleepers near the log cabin.
The step will be made of a railway sleeper of 2.4 meter long so that we can use it as a step, a sun bed and a place to put the apple press. If we can have a first step of 25 cm a bucket will fit underneath
the step bit will be made of a 60cm deep paving slab (when the sun warms it up should be nice to sit on or lie on) then another rail way sleeper of 25cm high, so that it is level with the garden.
The raised bed would be 50cm high.
For the beds in the middle of the garden I would like to incorporate the plastic pipes to make hoops when needed in the summer to protect the veggies. Love the little seat. Not sure if it will be strong enough to carry me, but worth a try
These beds are already made up by the company £29 inclusive of VAT. will need to paint but still 1.20 x 2.40m
