On Friday and Saturday last week , Philip and Roger came to put up the log cabin.
As the forecast for the beginning of the week was so bad, Mark and I applied general purpose wood preserver so that on Tuesday we can put on the first coat of Johnstone's Opaque wood treatment.
It has taken for most of the week to finish off the painting, one more coat for David to do on the ceiling of the awning and it should be fine until the final touches will be done, once the garden is done.
With the new fence put in by Peter our neighbour, it is starting to look really good. Especially now the weather is bringing out the daffodils that I put in crates to plant in their final position later in the season. Even the apricot tree that I am training as an espalier is showing some signs of pink trying to cheer us up.
All very exciting, I am starting to look forward to a lovely garden full of spring flowers and dreams of delicious fruit and vegetables. Can't wait!
Well, this is what we hope it will look like in a few months time.
currently it is painted white, will do the last layer when the landscaping is done.
