Saturday 16th January - Frosty but Warren is still hard at work

I know that Warren told me that he works 7 days a week, but did not realise he really did this come rain come shine. When I went into the house to have a look at progress, Warren was already hard at work, digging out the soil for the foundations of the log cabin and the kitchen extension

Later on in the afternoon my architect friend Seiko wanted to have a look at the house so when we arrived at 3.30. Warren was still there, ready to pack up for the day. Single handedly he had put in the steel in the front room to get it ready for the pocket door. She too was amazed to see him there. As he said, only if it snows so much that we can't get the car out to come to you, we won't arrive.

Their work ethic is second to none. Tidy, helpful, thoughtful and proactive are the sentiments that come to mind.

Warren has been speaking with the planners to try and get information about the permission for 76 application as it would be very helpful with a view digging out the foundations for that area at the same time. He has finally managed to speak with Katherine Linford who promised him that she would get Rob to contact her as she is no longer on this case. As yet, no sound from him.

He also told me that Darren had to provide samples of the bricks and pointing before we can start the built, (even though 3 massive buildings on Mitcham's corner are using these bricks). He too is surprised by their demands. Fingers crossed we have some positive news on the 20th as that is the deadline for the planning application.

Hi Karina, many thanks for your enquiry.

I think the best route to market on this product for the amount of bricks you require is through our local stockist which is Ridgeons, Nuffield Road, Cambridge.

If you speak with Vince Woods on 01223 466000 and let him know I suggested you contact him, he will then look after you on the price.

Kind regards
