It transpired that the pipes had burst due to severe frost earlier that week. My plumber friend Simon came to the rescue and suggested to have a Surestop switch installed. I did and was extremely happy with it.
Now we are doing our building project and Warren is sorting out the water main, drains and new connections I want to use this switch again.
I found one at Amazon £13.99
This is now delivered and put in the top room of 78 Victoria Road, until needed
