Last Friday the forecast was not very nice. The April showers set in just in time to test Clint and Ryan who were going to put in the roof structure in the weekend.
Mark and I went to see friends in Nottingham that day, we had snow, rain, hail, and beautiful sunshine.
Alright for us sitting in the car, but not so great for Clint and Ryan to do their job, so we did not have much hope that they had managed to come and do the work.
When I returned after the weekend however, they had taken out the wall between the bathroom and the landing as well as put in the frame work for the roof and the Velux windows.
Today was glorious, sunny and warm, so Clint and Colin, took advantage of this and worked their socks off. Later in the afternoon the shipment of slate roofing tiles arrived so they are all set for tomorrow and the next couple of days to close off the roof and make it water tight.
Warren has been laying bricks and has only a few more to do, before he is ready with the work on the scaffolding.
